Product Detail
Are you bored with knitting scarves and eager for a more thrilling knitting project? Join Nina Machlin Dayton to master the best techniques for knitting in the round using circular needles and double - pointed needles. Discover useful tips and tricks, understand the difference between circular and flat knitting, learn to correct common mistakes, and create a beautiful and stylish hat accessory! This course has 2 sessions. Dates are March 29, 2025, and April 5, 2025. It's held weekly on Saturdays from 11 am PT/2 pm ET to 1 pm PT/4 pm ET. Required materials include the Basic Beanie Hat pattern from https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/basic - beanie - hat - 4, 100 – 150 yards of worsted weight gauge (depending on size), US Size 7 - 4.5 mm circular needles, US Size 8 - 5.0 mm circular needles and double - pointed needles, 6 stitch markers (one different to mark the round start/end), a tapestry needle, a measuring tape, and small scissors. Students should know how to cast on, knit, and purl. Casting on will be reviewed and Knit 2 together will be taught in class if needed. There's no homework.
First, make sure you have all the required materials ready before the class. Log in on time according to the scheduled date and time. During the class, listen carefully to Nina's instructions on knitting in the round. Try to practice the tips and tricks she shares right away. If you make a common mistake, don't worry, just follow the steps she teaches to fix it. After class, use the Basic Beanie Hat pattern to continue working on your hat. For your needles and stitch markers, keep them in a dry and safe place to avoid losing or damaging them. When using the tapestry needle, be careful not to poke yourself. The measuring tape and scissors should be stored properly as well. And remember, there's no homework, so take your time and enjoy the knitting process!
